Wemfg Issues Recall for Children's Versatile Bike Helmets Available on Amazon

The United States Consumer Product Safety Commission has declared that Wemfg is recalling Children's Multi-Purpose Bike Helmets available on Amazon.com because of a potential risk of head injury.

The bicycle helmets produced in China did not comply with the necessary safety standards for stability, impact labeling, and certification as mandated by CPSC federal safety regulations.

The CPSC reported that there were no injuries associated with the product, but it did not provide adequate protection during a crash, increasing the risk of head injuries. Approximately 6,500 units are set to be recalled.

The helmets were available for purchase on Amazon from April to July 2024, with prices ranging from $26 to $32.

The items were available in small size, intended for head circumferences ranging from approximately 19.5 to 21.25 inches.

Each helmet is equipped with black padding, black straps, and a buckle that is a combination of black and red. At the rear, there is a black and red plastic knob for adjusting the size. Inside the helmet, you'll find the model number "MD-710-S" printed on a white label.

Wemfg urges customers to immediately cease using the recalled helmets and to reach out to the company for a complete refund.
