In this week's Throwback, we travel back 25 years to the inaugural round of the 2000 AMA EA Sports Supercross Series in Anaheim I. On that memorable night, Jeremy McGrath (center) claimed victory aboard his Mazda/Chaparral Yamaha, defeating the Honda riders Mike LaRocco (left) and Kevin Windham (right). McGrath would go on to secure 10 round wins and ultimately clinch the AMA Supercross Championship for the seventh and final time. This Saturday, the Monster Energy Supercross Series returns to Angel Stadium in Anaheim for another exciting season opener.
